I am currently a Vice Chancellor Research Fellow in the astronomy group at The University of Sheffield. As part of my Ph.D. I studied the non-relativistic outflows of active galaxies in the hope to determine what causes these winds, and what effects they have on the immediate region surrounding the active nucleus. Sheffield Astronomy

The astronomy and astrophysics group within the Department of Physics and Astronomy is involved in a wide range of teaching and research activities. We were ranked in the top ten physics departments for research outputs in REF 2014. Our research interests cover two broad themes, the building blocks of galaxy evolution, and high time resolution astrophysics. The first observational sub-group encompasses the properties, formation and evolution of massive stars.
